Default 96 Sebring Goes thru all gears then "limp in mode"

Hello I have a 96 Sebring that will go thru all gears for about three blocks and then goes in to "limp in mode" If I turn the car off and let it sit for a while it will drive again thru all gears and then go in to "limp in mode" again. I took it in to a transmition shop and they told me my transmition was tired? I have seen that it may be the Speed sensor or the shift solenoid can you help me out?[:@]

Hello,

I have a similar issue with my transmission. Although I can't provide a solution, I am wondering what happened to your transmission. Did you take it in to a shop? If so, did they figure out what is wrong with it? My transmission went into "limp-mode" a few weeks ago and has since been diagnosed with an "Incorrect Ratio - Gear 3"code. I'm assuming that, if it's not a false code, it means 3rd gear is fried. If that is NOT the case, I really don't know what else to do beyond throwing money into a lost cause. Either way, let me know what happened. Hope to hear from you soon.
