Default 96 sebring start

I just installed a refurbished plug and play computer. I plugged it in but it didn't play. I bought the rehab pcm because I was having an intermittent problem with the car starting and shutting down within seconds. Disconnecting neg battery cable and reconnecting up to 12 hrs later corrected the problem for a while but it rendered the car unreliable. Rehab installed and now the car will turn over but not start. All systems like radio and windows work like before. If anyone has any help or ideas I would be grateful. I recently purchased this 1996 sebring convertible with 84000 miles on it and it would be nice to enjoy it.

The computer is not "plug and play". A Computer must be programmed with the VIN and mileage of the vehicle. If that was not done properly, it will not work. If you bought a computer from a reputable service and they programmed it with the correct VIN and mileage, then contact that service for help.

Having said that, Sebrings with 6 cylinder engines of that vintage are notorious for having distributor problems, which are not always solved with aftermarket distributors.
