I have a 1996 sebring convertible . On two occasions when trying to start car it would start but die within seconds . repeated attempts were the same. I noticed that none of the gauges were working. I disconnected the neg battery and reconnected and it started and ran as normal. several weeks later the same thing happened. I disconnected and reconnected the battery like before but this time that didn't work. I left the battery disconnected for a day or so and reconnected it and it started and ran fine. I am reluctant to drive the car in case this happens again. Any suggestions ? Thanks

 

sounds like a computer issue or something causing the communication between the computers to fail.
