Default 97 sebring 2.5v6 crank (timing) gear ???

I have been having problems w/ the crank pulley loosening up, and found that the pin (not the key) on the crank gear has sheared off...

Am I going to be forced to get a new gear? I dont see any way to get the pin out from the back... and it doesnt want to drill out, even with a new bit.

any suggestions would be appreciated!

Default Since noone else has answered...

I'll do it myself...

The pin on the crankshaft gear cannot be reached from the back and, unless others have a technique that I dont know of, it is necessary to replace the gear with a new one...

That being done, I now have another issue that will be covered in a new post.

If anybody has a way to get the remains of the pin out so I can reuse this old gear in the future (heaven forbid!) feel free to add your 2cts!
