Default 97 sebring jxi replaced valves ran for min now no compression but timing didnt slip

Good day everyone I need help. Bought Sebring with 2.5 real cheap cause timing belt broke. Replaced all valves, new water pump and timing belt. Car started and ran for a min and shut down, now she turns over pretty freely and no compression. So I go back and check belt and the timing marks are still lined up, so im wondering maybe rings or something. Have changed valves in plenty of dodge and chrysler cars with no problem in past. Just wondering if I need to replace motor and be done with it?

put some trans fluid down the spark plug hole then do a compression test then if U get compression then bad rings if U dont get any your timing is off or bent the valves or something U did as far as the valves are bad.
