'98 Sebring LX P0401 code question
Hi all, I have a question regarding a PSM code that popped up this weekend.
The check engine light came on while I was doing normal driving. The car (1998 sebring lx coupe with a 2.5L V6) was and still is running perfectly fine. When I checked the code I found P0401. I believe this indicates a problem with the EGR valve and/or EGR valve solenoid.
I picked up a new valve/solonoid assembly but I would like to know if I there is some checking or port cleaning I should do to make sure there actually is a problem with the old one? I can always return the new valve.
