Unhappy Alarm - Electrical Problems - 1998 Sebring

The alarm is preventing my vehicle from starting and I was never given a key fob for the alarm, didn't know it had one, nor do I know if it is factory or an aftermarket alarm. How do I disarm this alarm so that I can get my vehicle started .

Thank you

"The alarm is preventing my vehicle from starting" How do you know that? There are many possible reasons why a 16-year-old car won't start.

"didn't know it had one" So how do you know now that it has one?

"nor do I know if it is factory or an aftermarket alarm." How do you expect that anyone here would know that?

"How do I disarm this alarm so that I can get my vehicle started." Same response.

There are many types of "alarms" out there, some are actually installed and controlled by lenders to disable the car if you get behind on your payments. You're going to have to get somebody knowledgeable to actually look at it, see how it's wired and try to work around it. If it was easy to do, it wouldn't be very useful as an anti-theft device, if that's what it is.
