We purchased my son a 2011 Chrysler 200 limited and unfortunately we only had 1 key Fob when purchased. However this is the second time in a couple of weeks that the key did not unarm the car when he entered setting off the alarm. His car has a manual start so he was able to crank it and shut off the alarm the first time. However this has happened again but this time the car shut off And DID NOT crank. He made an executive decision to leave the car on school campus while unplugging the battery. What is going on????

 

Please help. My husband and son went to the car this morning. His teacher on yesterday had him disconnect the battery post. The reconnect the battery and the alarm is sounding. The car will not crank. My son is going to have the battery changed in the key FOB this morning as a 1st attempt but if nothing we will have it towed
