i have two questions,
first- what is the power of a 96' infinity head unit ?
and
second- would this be a good upgrade from the stock infinity?

This would definately be a good upgrade. I have the same head unit in my 05 sebring and I love it. The panasonic head unit is a very powerful head unit, I actually had to install a second amp in my car (to power my front and rear 6x9's because the head unit over powered the speakers and I could only get to 20 on the volume gauge).

so did u install it yourself, because I have found it cheaper online than at circuit city. Also, in the circuit city review someone said you can turn the rear speakers into subs. I dont think it was the same model. thanks

yes I installed it myself, very simple and straight forward. Yes it does have a sw feature that turns your rear speakers into virtual subwoofers.
