Need to replace battery.....having trouble removing inner fender battery cover....turning plastic fasteners 1/4 turn....won't release

 

they are screws and completely need to be removed and the lower half is push pins serrate them in half to remove

 

To remove the push pins, lift the center portion about 1/4 to 3/8 inch or so, then you can pry out the whole thing. Once you get one out you will see how they work.
They go back in real easy, just stick them in the hole and mash 'em flat.
