Default Camshaft position sensor

I see alot of replacement being completed for these two sensors. I am currently researching for the possible next steps, once I completed with the fuel system.

My question is, why is everyone replacing the distributor when I see that Autozone carries a replacement for the camshaft position sensor (otherwise known as the sync signal generator) ?

Thanks for the help.
Chris

Default camshaft position sensor

Answer to first question is due to dealership recommedations . It is also a good idea considering the ignition coil is confined in there as well an since a majority of problems with a no spark condition does usually is faulted with the distributor it saves alot of time an trouble from running into future problems ! To answer the question of the crankshaft position sensor ,it has been known for many odd problems when defective an sometimes false signals . Both the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor send signals to the ecm as timing ,firing , enjectors !
