Default Check Engine Light

So trying to get helpful answers around here is like trying to comfortably give an elephant an ennema... HA. But what the heck, why not just try again...

My check engine light and I have become good friends over the past 2 months... and it's doing a new thing now to get my attention... instead of it just staying on, with it's bright yellowness screaming in my face.. "FIX ME, STUPID!" it now flashes/blinks in a pattern.. example.. Blink, Blink, Blink... ON-ON-ON-ON(x5 min) and then repeats itself. Its becoming rather annoying... the Codes off of an OBDII scanner are anywhere between 1 to 8 problems each time... the consistant codes are: Cylinder Misfiring 3 & 6. I've had the sparks, distributor cap, rotor, wires, and ignition coil ALL REPLACED. The Fuel Injectors were also checked and they're fine too. I'm thinking all that's left is the that the Computer took a crap, prolly when I had my new tranny put in, in september...

IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT ELSE COULD BE CAUSING THIS LIGHT TO CONTINUOSLY BE ON, OR IF YOU THINK IM ON THE RIGHT TRACK OF THINGS TO CHECK PLEASE LET ME KNOW... I REALLY NEED THE FEED BACK CAUSE I HAVE TO HAVE MY CAR PASS SMOG AND BE REGISTERED BY NOVEMBER 8TH.

Thanks!

Default RE: Check Engine Light

well, if you have had everything else replaced, i would agree that it is likely a computer issue...
