I did search but did not find anything discussing this specific issue.

On my daughters 2001 Sebring, The check engine light is on. I checked it with my Diablo Preditor for my mustang and no codes were found. I know it works on all my fords (2001 Sport Trac, 2003 Mach1 & 2006 Freestyle) but not knowing if it would work on the sebring, I went to Auto Zone to get it checked and it passed with no codes with the light shinning brightly.

Any ideas on why the light is on?

Did you attempt to clear codes even tho it said there werent any?

If you do that and the light will not go out, I'd suspect a fault in the wiring somewhere... short or some such.

any OBDII tester should work on the sebring...

Sometimes I have to clear mine twice in a row before the light actually goes out...
