Chrysler 200 head gasket repair a year ago, same symptoms again
Like the title says, I got my 2016 Chrysler 200 V4 head gasket repaired last March. It was a very long process with the mechanic running me around. I had all of the typical symptoms; cylinder misfire, white exhaust, no external leak, milky oil, very fast coolant draining, etc. Now, I have the same issues again. I took it back to the same shop that I originally went to and they said that coolant is definitely seeping into the engine, but they need $1000 to teardown the engine (6 hours of work with their very high hourly rate) to see if it's the head gasket again or a cracked/warped cylinder head. They'd fix it for free if it's a head gasket but I'm on the line for the fix/replacement if it's a cracked head. This is the only shop near me that does these head gasket replacements at all. This is a Chrysler dealer, although it's not the dealer the car came from.
The car has about 120k miles so it really shouldn't be having these issues, but I bought it used at 105k miles two years ago so who knows how it was treated before that.
My question that actually directly pertains is: is it at all likely that it's actually the head gasket that failed again, or do you think that it's probably a cracked head itself? I have no clue what I'd do if it's a cracked head, but I'd probably have to get rid of the car if that's the case, and I don't want to spend $1000 for them to just tell me that I need to junk the car. I want to make an informed decision about this, and if it's far more likely that it's not a head gasket, then I might as well cut my losses. Any advice about this situation in general would be appreciated.

Head gaskets dont fail heads warp did you have the head machined when the head was off? a modern head gasket is 3 layers of steel what do you think the odds of 170psi of compression blowing threw 3 layers of steel?
They should've machined it but who knows with that stupid *** shop. I've decided I'm just getting rid of that car.
