Default Common oil leaks?

After spending close to a grand to get new wheels, tires and to replace the water outlet housing and thermo, I am now smelling oil. Anyone had problems with an oil leak? What are some common areas to check?

If you smell oil burning, this usually means the leak is originating from the top end of the engine. The smell of burning oil generally come from oil dripping on the exuast manifolds. Look to see if you have stains around the valve covers and make a habit of checking your oil level weekly. Engines need to have full bellies of oil.

We took our 98 Sebring Conv. to a mechanic because we smelled oil burning, they changd the PCV Valve but we still smell it burning, they said there are no leaks. We dont see anything in the driveway or the garage that is driping on the ground. Any clues?
