Default Convt. Top Adjustment

My 2000's top (when closed) rides slightly higher on the driver's side than passenger's...

I have adjusted the clamping arm as far as it will allow me to go - am I going to have to put more of a bend in it, or is there another adjustment point?

Thanks!

When the roof is fully closed and latched, the driver's side does not sit a closely to the top of the windsheild as does the passengers... While driving, air can be heard whistling through...

I adjusted the set screw and the peice it "sets," as it's name is not given - i'll call it a hook... The hook has been adjusted to it's maximum position, and still the top is too high...

u can add washers to the latch part it self take off the upper time moulding and u will see where it attaches to the top of the windsheld area just make the hook longer down and it will give u more pull down on that side.

I had a similar problem with a 2006 I bought used from a non-Chrysler dealer, still under factory warranty. The local Chrysler dealer claimed the "roof bars" were bent and needed replacing. The sevice manager said that the damage could only be caused by someone opening the top while driving or putting a large weight on top of the roof, and so it was not covered by warranty, although he couldn't show me where the damage was. The fix was to replace the bars at a cost of $3,900.00.

I took the car back to the dealer I purchased it from and they replaced the latches, at their expense, which fixed the problem. I was told that the latches cast a bit over $200 each.

I was going to try to washer thing - it seemed like a logical step to me... Glad to hear someone else recommend it... If not, Maybe I'll look into the latches... The one on the left is looser than the right, perhaps it is worn out... (?)
