Default Crankshaft position sensor faulty?

So I replaced my crankshaft position sensor and now it's not starting however it did start for a few seconds then died. Did I maybe get a faulty sensor?

Mine did this same thing and it was the camshaft sensor. I actually had the wrong reluctor on the camshaft. It shut down the engine after a couple seconds. The engine wouldn't start for me when I had a bad crank position sensor.
