Default Distributor Problem?

I have another thread below and got one answer but it did not solve my problem.. So here is new question.

Put in new plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets and it runs great now. But only for about ten minutes Will run great everytime from a cold start till it the engine warms up. Then it will stutter and miss above anything but idle once at operating temp...

Always idles fine even when hot, but runs like crap down the road once warmed up.. So I suspect there is a issue in the distributor possibly that shows up from heat..What do you think?

Very possible. The distributor is a known weak point with that engine. If you browse through this forum you'll see that. People have also reported difficulties when replacing the OEM distributor with an aftermarket one.

I am kinda of afraid of that aftermarket scenario but the place said I could get a full refund within 30 days if it does not work..I may try to find a used one but that could be as problematic as a aftermarket though..

No way we can justify the price of a OEM one for a 500.00 car though..

Im not following your logic here. How is this forum an issue with U the guy paying money for a part having issues deciding on an OEM or aftermarket one?
