I have a 2000 Sebring JXi ragtop. The door straps are making a popping noise (2nd time this has happened). Chrysler dealer wants about $160 / door to replace. Any place to get cheaper? Any other options?

 

take em off... the plastic part is just a "water tight cover" that doesn't even need to be water tight because water never ever ever ever hits it... cut the plastic part off.... otherwise, call a junkyard... they'll let you have em for probably $20... even from another model car... you don't need the plastic part for anything, and it's a very common problem just so you know...
