Default EGR issues

Ok. Chrysler tec told me (after I had already purchased an aftermarket sadly) to get my EGR valve from the dealer. Well that was 6 months ago. Now I get the code indicating "insufficient EGR flow".

The question I have is, are there other common causes for this code besides the valve itself? And even if they're not common, what other causes might there be? (The crossover tube is rigid and intact.)

And a question for Chrysler tec specifically, if you're around... Is this why you said to get it from the dealer?
