Default engine swap

Hi, just found this site and was hoping someone could help. I need to put a new engine in my sebring Lxi. It currently has a 2.7L and I can't find one for a reasonable price. I was wondering if I can put a 2.5L in it. if anyone has any knowledge of this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I forgot to mention its a 2003.

The 2.5 is a completely different engine. No way will it just drop in. You will need a different computer (which may or may not work in your car) different plumbing, wiring, exhaust and controls. When you are all done, you will have invested thousands of dollars of money and time and the car will be worth nothing because nobody will buy a half-breed vehicle like that.
Keep looking for a 2.7. There were many thousands of them built.
