Default Factory alarm issue

Hi all,

I'm working on a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus that my friend's father bought at an auction. The car will start and run for about four seconds, then shuts off. The alarm is going off the whole time. The remote can't be reprogrammed due to the fact that we can't turn off the alarm. We are using the proper key. Are there any components in the alarm system that we should look at? What should we be checking out before we start throwing stuff at it? Pretty much, this car is a beater, and isn't worth a whole lot. We are trying to get it running so his grandson can have it for his first car. Thanks

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned the car was brought to the dealer just for that. The technicians there couldn't do it, and don't have a clue how to fix the alarm. 1995 is too old for them.
