Default Fog lights not working

RE: 2006 Sebring Touring Convertible

OK guys, I noticed that the fog lights on my wife's car was not working and decided to troubleshoot it. I have read the operator’s manual and most of the threads regarding the fog lights not working on this forum. I have checked the fuses noting that the fog lights only work in low beam mode, etc, etc. and suspect that it may be the fog light switch. No problem, I’ll just replace it. However, I have noticed that there is no fog light relay. What?!? No relay and no electrical connectors?!? See attached photos.

So my questions is, did the fog lights ever worked? According the car operator’s manual there should be a relay. I do not want to replace the switch if I do not have too.

Thoughts???

Thanks,
Joe

Try firmly yanking the switch out about 10 times. This has worked for me before.

indysebring - I already tried that +10 times. If I pulled on it any harder I would have pulled off the end of the switch.

There is no "fog lamp relay" in the circuit. Yours looks just like mine. According to the wiring diagram, power for the fog lamps comes from the headlight relay, is routed through the fog lamp switch in the multifunction switch, then to fuse #13 in the junction block (inside fuse panel at the left end of the dash) then is routed to the left and right fog lamps.
