Default Front Wheel Bearing and Ball Joints

Just found out that my 01 Sebring with 20,500 miles on it needs front left wheel bearing and all four ball joints. Has anyone ever done ball joints and wheels bearings? I'll probably have the shop replace the ball joints but I think I can replace the wheel bearing. Has anyone ever replaced wheel bearings? Are the pressed in? I;ve changed them on a 92 Lebaron and that was fairly easy. Thanks for you respones!

I haven't changed bearings yet but the lower ball joints come as a lower control arm unit @ about $200. a side. OUCH$$ I later saw on ebay the compleat front end kit of 2 lower control arms with bushings, 2 upper ball joints, 2 outside tie rods and 2 sway bar links all for $200. I would look there first for the parts. The control arms slide in at an angle towards the front of the car, the rear of the mount has a flat side to aid the instalation.

Yup... put one on the left side last night. Remove the wheel, brake caliper, nut on the cv shaft then the 3 bolts from the back of the bearing hub, then reverse order and rember to PUMP your brakes back up.

Ya, the older ones were a little easier, because the bolts were from the front of the hub. But the newer ones with aluminum knuckles go from behind. It sometimes gives you more room to work if you pop off a ball joint first.
