Default Heater Control *****

Is there a safe way to remove the control ***** (i.e., Fan, Temp & Mode) from the heater-A/C control module?

Vehicle year please.

With the earlier sebrings I needed to use a pliers to grip the ****. I did wrap the **** with electrical tape to minimize damage to the ****. They pull straight out but it takes good pull.

OK, that worked.
Just had to make sure each **** is "pointed" straight up so that ****'s light fixture can pass through the cut-out in the module face plate as it is pulled free.
