Default Heater Issues

2000 Sebring Convertible JXi, heat won't work properly when it's idling however when you are driving there is heat but only if you have the vent set to lap. Defroster blows cold air and the foot vent blows cold air. If the lap vent is above the second setting, the air coming out is cooler. The thermostat has been replaced and the fluid level are full. Any ideas?

Could be the control head is bad, could be the mode door or blend door motor is bad. Could be a connection in between the controls and the heater is bad. Could be a plugged or partially plugged heater core or a failing heater hose.
Might be something else I haven't thought of.

I put out some info on changing out the heater core and checking the blend door control and vent. Went over a lot of details and some other stuff. If you need to do this and attempt it yourself.
