Smile hello from romania

Hi everybody,

I bought a brand new 2.0 Sebring in september 2009 and i already drove it 7000 km. I am really happy with the car and i joined the forum as i am sure you guys can provide all sorts of usefull info on how to care for it. One first question: its kind of cold outside and everytime i start the car i get a low tires warning. After i drive for a while it goes away. All tyres have 1.9 bar inside (im talking about 215/60/R17 Bridgestone). Anyone has an ideea on whats the optimum tyre pressure? Thank you

Your owners manual and a sticker on the drivers door jamb will specify the proper tire pressure for your car.

Cold temperature compresses the air in the tire... lowers the pressure. As you drive around the tire heats up, and expands. Thats why you need to be careful about over inflating tires.

hey gury and welcome, i'm from romania too and because it's an english forum i will answer you in english. I had the same problem after i bought my sebring. I filled my tires with nitrogen and now the tyre pressure remains constant. I use 2.4 on front and 2.2 on the rear (16" wheels). If u have 17" wheels the pressure will be slight different.
