When are the vibrations? If you put your car in neutral, does it stop? Does it happen at all speeds? Does it happen on turns? Does it increase or decrease at certain speeds? How about on turns? Right or left or equal? Need more info. Will sign on later.
it vibrates all the time - except when at a stop. the steering wheel shakes violently left to right ive done everything u can do wheel balance new rotors new tires new wheels and also a alignment done any ideas.
Here are a couple of strong possibilities: Engine mounts or transmission mount. To test have someone sit in the car that you trust with your life seriously, open up the hood, put something in front of the front tires, have them shift from forward to reverse repeatedly with the parking brake on and their foot on the brake. Look to see if the engine seems to lurch. If it does, I will get back with you on exact locations. Mounts are rubberized and the rubber gets fatigued after time.
Another possibility, wheel bearing. Jack up one side of the car just enough to get a front tire off the ground. Put some kind of pry bar or pipe and pry up the tire and get it to move; if it does noticable, it's probably a wheel bearing.

More possibilities. If your wheel moves, could also be lower ball joints or lower control arm bushings. Also but unlikely, transmission cross member could be lose or other loose bolts. At this point, it's time to put the front end off the ground with the wheels off look for the obvious. Looking forward to correspondence.
more possibilities, strut shock towers with the hood open, push down on the front of the car and see if stut mounts move at all ,take a wrench or vise grips and make sure the top of each strut is secure also low possibilites, broken strut damper piston, broken shock spring.its ok if the shocks are worn out, just look for a difference from on side to another ,make sure , mabe the tower bushing is worn. steering linkage, pull on each peice try to find a noticable difference from one side to another. something bent? have you gone off the road? hit a big whole ? did the vibration come on slowly or all at once?
hi probability cause of shimmy, loose tie rod end.. with the wheel off use a prybar to check to see if its real loose at the ball if your rubber boot is ripped or no ones greased it. it can give a real slop in the steering causing all that vibration going down the road not to mention if it ever failed. there only about &45. all you will need is ball joint seperator about 25& when you thread it off use spray paint to mark the threads so when you put new ones on you will know excactly how far to thread it on to avoid an alightment. make sure you use two wrenches so one will secure inner tie rod otherwise you will make another problem . those are real hard to change because its abig open end wrench and sometimes you will have to take a grinder and cut a ex wrench sorter to get in a small space like that, also to slide a cheater pipe over the cut end for leverage . those usually dont wear to much because there not exposed to as much road filth.
