Hemi motor in 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible??
Anyone try this or review this option and hit barriers, I know I would have to do a RWD conversion but my first car is one of these and instead of just selling a good convertible I'd like to make a fun sleeper/ beach car out of it. Just want some opinions on this subject and maybe some pointers.

I won't say it's impossible, Several years ago ,at the Dodge dealer in Waco Tx. they had a mini car show. One of the cars on display
was an old Triumph Spitfire, It had a 426 Hemi Eliphant in it.. with bucks,and knowhow ,you can do just about anything.

If you are really good at fabricating and welding sheet metal, you might have a chance at making this happen. Practically the whole underbody will need re-working. There is barely enough room in the center tunnel for the exhaust pipes, let alone a transmission and driveshaft. The gas tank is currently right about where the rear axle and differential will go, so there's that to deal with. You'll have to come up with an entirely new rear suspension and mounting system. Keep in mind that a convertible is somewhat weak in structure to begin with, so any cutting you do underneath will need to be compensated somehow to prevent the whole body from crumpling. You'll probably need a bigger radiator, so some re-styling of the front end might need to be done. There may be a reason why nobody has tried this.
