Default Interior Fan Only runs on high

2001 Sebring. The heating/cooling fan only operates when fan is set to high. Any suggestions? I've heard it's the thermal resistor, but also heard a bad fan motor causes the thermal resistor to go bad. Also, how do I access these parts (under the glove box area? Thanks

It's the resistor. There are several threads on the subject in the forum. Here's one:

This is definitely a do-it-yourself project if you have any skills with tools at all.

Have fun with it and report back with your success.
