Issues with 2010 Sebring Touring 2.4 not starting after alternator and battery replac
#13
What is the specific P07xx code being reported, not the P0700? Are there any other running issues such as poor shifting or limp mode (reverse and 2nd gear only)? With the exception of changing the trans fluid, diagnose first. Firing the parts is expensive and leads to frustration. Replacing the PCM should be the last house on the block.
ATF+4 is licensed and trademarked. If it is labeled as atf+4 and notes MS-9602, it is good (compatible with is not good). Accept no substitutes, in particular no to universal fluids. If there is a Walmart nearby, the Supertech atf+4 is way less expensive.
As a note when dropping the transmission pan, a fuzzy magnet is ok as is a gray/silver film on the pan. Chunks of metal are not good. Service fill for a pan drop is around 4.5 qts for the 4-speed and 5.5 qts for the 6-speed.

I have a P0700 code with nothing else accompanying it. Yes I'm able to reverse and I was able to get it into 2 of my 4 gears. The reason PCM is high on my list is because of the reason I have no other codes going with my P0700 so it may be the PCM. Ill probably use SuperTech ATF today. Would you recommend a drain and fill instead of flushing with the radiator? The car isn't running right now so I wouldnt be able to shift gears. The car has 85,000 miles and has never had the trans fluid changed

The car currently isn't running. I've replaced the Alternator, Battery, and Starter but when I try to turn it, it starts clicking like its the starter. Maybe the PCM is recognizing the Trans Fluid needs a change and its preventing the car from starting???

no the starter doesn't no your transmission fluid is dirty. Try hitting the starter with a hammer when someone else is trying to start it. I've seen starter faulty right out of the box.
