Default Jxi vs coupe fenders

I'm fixing some body damage on my '99 Jxi and my driver front fender has a tear in it. My tig welding skills are still a little amatuer so i think i'll replace it. I have found replacement fenders are expensive and hard to find. However coupe fenders are alot cheaper and readily available (I live in canada so not many in the wreckers here). Does anyone know if the fenders are interchangable? I checked the part numbers through chrysler and they are different but that could be due to the fact that the convertible and coupe were built in different plants.
Thanks

Convertible and coupe parts are NOT interchangeable. The coupe was built by Mitsubishi. The convertible was built by Chrysler. The cars have practically NO common parts. Take a look at them. You'll see how different they are.
