2002 Sebring Lx keyless entry units no longer lock doors although the horn does beep when the buttons are depressed. To further complicate matters, the units do unlock the doors.

 

Try this first

1. Replace the battery
2. With a can of compressed air, gently clean the guts of the keyless entry fob

If that doesnt work a trip to your local dealer to get a new fob might be in order, watch out for the fob programming fees, they can be expensive.

Thanks, but have done that. New battery, and we have 2 fobs that have same results. Took them to dealer and they tested OK.. When asked about the symptom, service writer said he'd never heard of such a thing, which I can't believe.
