Default LED switchback DRL's/Turn signals, need resistor?

I have replaced most of my exterior lights with awesome LED's. I'm wanting to replace my front turn signals now. I came across some LEDs that are constantly on as a white 6k DRL, but once you hit the turn signal they change to amber. And it's "amber-off-amber-off-amber-off" instead of "amber-white-amber-white-amber-white" apparently to increase the turn signals visibility. Has any used LEDs as they're turn signals or DRLs? Did you need load resistors installed to get rid of hyper flashing? Since LEDs use so much less energy than stock bulbs, the car will sometimes think the light is broken and hyper flash. So has anyone run across this issue with LEDs? Did you need load resistors?

Yes. that's the problem with using LED bulbs in a turn signal circuit. The fix is to put a resistor in parallel with the bulb to draw more current. But then you have undone the energy-saving advantage of the LED.

Old thread but you need to change out the flasher unit. Autozone or similar LM 740 has it. Just swap the case over and it will fit the holder.
