Default Lift Supports

Does anyone know where I can purchase heavy duty trunk lift Supports for a 2000 Sebring convertible? I installed a spoiler and the trunk will not stay up whatsoever.

Thank you.

Not sure on your vehicle...does it have strut type or spring torsion bars that support the trunk lid? If it has struts, have you replaced them recently that the weight of the spoiler now doesn't hold the trunk open? I've not seen any kind of listings for any vehicle that states they are "heavy duty".

They look like gas struts.

No, I just purchased the car and am doing some cosmetic and mechanical touch ups. The mechanical leverage of the spoilers location makes the trunk struts unable to withstand the weight. The spoiler itself is not heavy.

almost 19 years old most probably and never been replaced....They do wear out. Take a look at rockauto.com new replacements will most likely work out fine for you.
