Default Misfire

Alright so I have a 2008 3.5L Sebring and I have error code p0302 so cylinder 2 misfire. My mechanic and I have tried every test we can think of but we can’t figure out why it is missing. Compression is fine changed the spark plugs and when we move coils the misfire still stays in cylinder 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also it has been missing since I had the transmission rebuilt.

Bad fuel injector or wiring? Might try a can of fuel injector cleaner as a cheap first attempt. Always try the cheapest thing first.

I’ve already tried seafoam and my mechanic cleaned the fuel injector but still thinks that it might still be what is causing it.

Could be a problem with the wiring leading to the injector. When you post a problem, it helps if you include in the post everything you have tried to fix it so as not to have people waste your time and theirs suggesting fixes that have already been attempted.

How many miles on the car? If over 100K, was the timing belt changed? Part of 'package' for a timing belt replace includes a tensioner. If the tensioner is original, it is possible it is not working properly and causing the misfire.

I had a similar issue with a different car, Chrysler 300 3.6L.....I went through every test possible
see details here:
https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/...misfire-32419/

Long story short,
They replaced worn-out rockers on cylinder 5 and lifters after which no misfire no DTC
Note: there was no rocker ticking sound whatsoever !!!

hope that helps
