MPH going to 15 when at a complete stop, then trans shakes
Hello all, I'm at a loss for what is happening. Having a mechanic take a look soon but it will be about a week.
Recently my car's engine started making a higher pitched noise than usual. What happened next is beyond me. I started noticing that when I would come to a stop, the speedometer would return to 0. Then after about 5 seconds, it will go up to about 10-15 mph, then after about 5 more seconds it feels like the transmission shakes for 1 second, with the speedometer going down to about 10 and returning back to 15. Then when I take off from the stop, the speedometer will return to zero and increase at an accurate and normal state. This problem happens in neutral, drive, and park.
Does anyone have any insight about what may be happening? Thank you for any help!
I can try to post a video later from YouTube if it helps.

Sounds like the output sensor of the transmission needs to be replaced. If that's all it is, it's a cheap and easy repair, but it could be something different (like the engine or transmission computer) that is a lot more expensive.
A video won't help. Somebody with the correct diagnostic equipment is going to have to connect to the car and read the fault codes in the car's computers.
