well its looks like its true no coil packs on your 2.5 v-6
you should check your cap and rotor though and on occasion we replace the entire distributor it is pricey you can get them aftermarket as well about half price

ok listen this a very low maintenance how ever if you bought this car new need to replace rotor in the ignicion also check if there is voltage to the distributor if not very easy take the dist off and with a 12volt tester check if any spark comes out threw coil if not cranksensor problem
