Default oil light keep blinking

Hi purchase a 1999 chrysler JXI convert. the oil light started blinking off and on . Check oil level it was low added to quarts okay for a day than it started blinking again. The blinking is not continous but it worries me. No manual in car at purchase.

It started blinking again, did you check the level again, your car has the 2.7 right, they are known for oil leaks

The 99 is either a 2.4 L inline 4 cylinder or the 2.5L V 6. The V6 which is usually in the JXi will have a leak through the oil pressure sending unit coating the electrical connection and causing higher than normal resistance. This causes the light to come on at low (idle) speeds. Have the actual pump pressure tested using a gauge in the same place the switch is mounted (right above the oil filter) and replace the switch after cleaning the connections. It should go away although it may take a little time because the oil is extremely difficult to get out of the wiring.

Since you're having what appears to be massive system failures, have the battery condition checked. It may be starting to fail to hold a complete charge.
