Default Passenger door help

My 96 Sebring Conv. has a passenger side door problem. It will not latch and stay closed. I am looking for a repair manual that I can download for free,( I found one for my 2002 Durango ) so I can see how the internal latch mechanism works. Has anyone had this problem and how easy is it to fix? Thanks for any help.

Default RE: Passenger door help

First...is your catch pin on the car tight and secure. Second...did you try working the latch by hand, with the door open. ( be VERY carefull when you fiddle with the latch on the door, there are many pinch points and the claws move very quickly). Third...check the ailignment of the latch and the catch pin. If all that is OK, you'll have to get inside your door to check the linkage.
