Rattling noise.
Ive never had any real problems with my 2004 Sebring sedan. I have 160,000k's on there and is still smooth as ever. There is a noise that comes from somewhere under the engine that sounds like a rattle or a clunking. Sometimes the weather around here can dip down to -40 in the winter and the nosie is gone completly. Come early spring when when everything starts to thaw, the noise starts to reappear ever so slowly. Ive changed my outer tierods but that didnt stop it. The only thing to stop it was winter weather. I would have to hate to move to acolder climate soI can enjoy my Sebring all year round with no noise.

RE: Rattling noise.
I would be pointing my finger at the suspension. I would try and duplicate the problem in the driveway by bouncing the suspension, hopefully this will yield a noise, then take it to a hoist and have someone bounce it while you listen.
Other than that, no idears over internet wires, in person may be another thing if I could hear the noise.... Maybe a good bodyshop/mechanic? Someone trained to find noises?
You know, I was just thinking, way back when I had my first car, had the same type of problem, turned out to be a heat shield under the chassis.... something to check out??..........it's so hard to trouble shoot over the internet! ha ha
