Where is the low side recharge port located on the 99 lxi? And what kind of refrigerant does it use??

there is only one kinda of freon u can buy for a car that is not illegal
The ports I can not remember right off hand fallow the ac lines U will see it.

Right side of the engine compartment. The fatter hose is usually the suction side.

The refill kit has a fitting that will only fit on the low side.

R-134a. Like Tech says, it's the only one you can buy.
