Default Residue on oil cap

[/align] There is a tan residue on the top of the oil cap and I was wondering if this could be caused by condensation, if it is a sign the head gasket is starting to fail, or any other ideas you may have.

Thank you.

Default RE: Residue on oil cap

Hi, put 1/2 a can of seafoam ( at your auto store) in the crank case, the other 1/2 in your gas tank. You will clean out all the sludge and oil build-up in your engine. If your are lossing a head gasket it will show as white puffy exaust that smells like anti-freeze and you will have pitted spark plugs, or your engine will over heat at hi-way speeds.
