roll bar
does anyone know if there is a twin loop roll bar that will fit behind the drivers seats? i’ve rolled a miata, literally the day after installing that twin loop bar and it saved my girlfriend and me from being crushed. i’m scared of having a convertible without at least a single bar that bolts to the pillars. a truck pulled out and our front wheel drove up his tire and flipped us. it was bad but because we had that roll bar we survived. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
Year please?
Any rollbar would likely need to be custom and encroach on the rear seat side legroom. Suggest contacting a local collision repair shop and ask if they know of any fabricators that would be capable of making and adding a rollbar.
My 2 cents worth, I have had convertibles for decades now and have never been concerned about a rollover accident. Granted I have not had one.
The chrysler out weighs the miata by over 1200 lbs .The bulk of this weight is to beef up the frame and actually lowers the center of gravity making a rollover less likely than the 4-door sedan.
The chrysler also has a longer and wider wheelbase than the miata and as such is less likely to rollover.
