Default Sebring with 30 min cut off problem

Sorry for being so vague, a friend has a mid-late 90s sebring convertable.

He's telling me that it cuts off after 30 mins of driving or so and pops some fuses. Replace the fuses and it starts right back up.

He wants to unload it on me for real cheap.

Worth it?

Thanks!
Tom

Real cheap as in <500.

Like to fix it, drive it for a little then sell.
