Default Sebring LX 2003 poltergeist locks

Hello
I have a Chrysler Sebring LX from 2003. Recently a mechanic changed a new main lock / windows console to the driver's door. While driving I can hear how the locks go on or off but the lock ***** do not move. Sometimes there is also a low warning sound. A real poltergeist situation. Has the computer gone mad? The mechanic man must have done something wrong? After contacting him he was just baffled. Obviously he cannot fix the problem. If you know how to fix this issue I will be very grateful. Thank you in advance.

Problems with the switches in the driver's door can often be traced to broken wires in the harness that goes between the door and the body. 20 years of opening and closing the door have resulted in lots of flexing of the wires there. You might want to investigate that harness for broken or shorted wires.

Thank you so much.
The mechanic had left a tiny gap between the door and the door panel. I fixed it. Fingers crossed I think the problem is solved.
