Default Timing Belt

Hi everybody. I'm new here.
I have Chrysler Sebring 2002, 2.7, 24 valve.
It has about 85,000 mileson it and my question is if this model has a timing belt or timing chain. If there is a belt, at what mileage do you replace it. I know that themanual saysthat the2.4has a belt but it doesn't say anything about the2.7 engine.
Thanks.

According to Autozone your 2.7 has a timing chain and tensioner. (Wow! No rubber bands!)

Replacing, probably not. It is also likely that the tensioner is automatic. However, I recommend that you look up the specifics about that and take whatever recommended actions they have.

Alldatadiy through Autozone.com is a good recource, but their information is sometimes limited. Your local library or bookstore will have a manual with absolute answers.
