Default transmission fluid

Hey everybody. Love my 2001 sebring lxi. Not really having any problems, just wondering if someone could possible tell me the correct procedure to check transmission fluid level. I bought this car used and it did not have the owners manual with it. Thanks for the help.

I got to you late...but, check your fluid HOT, with engine running and transmission in PARK. But before you check it run thru all of the gears P R N D 3 L, that gets the fluid into all of the fluid passages.
