You may want to buy a couple of bolts and nuts for next time. Cut off the heads of the bolts and thread them in with your fingers. Use them to line up the pan on installation, hold the pan up with the nuts, not too tight. Then the other bolts will go in easy. Pull the cut-offs after the other bolts are in and replace them with the proper bolts.
