2005 300c 3.5 v6 question

Default 2005 300c 3.5 v6 question

Hi,

i was changing valve cover gaskets today and noticed the color difference between these two, why is it like that?

that looks like a plugged return on the passenger side to me with all that oil sitting up top. The driver side looks normal compared to any motor I've torn into. My disclaimer is I'm not a mechanic but I have wrenched on harleys for about 20 years now. The few car motors I've torn into, look like the driver's side

has the driver's side head been replaced? Looks like it to me
